Rancher 420 Idle Setting Question. I have a 2012 Rancher 420 with a manual trans and fuel injection that won't shift to neutral without shutting the engine off. Everybody on the forum says my idle is set too high. What should the idle speed be and should I find an idle set screw on the carb to adjust it. The Recon is a GREAT trail bike and will do some chores, but seems to lack some power when ya really put the heat to it. The Rancher has more power and will easily handle the chores you have listed. As well, the 2wd will have more power over the 4wd due to it not turning the front drive shaft all the time.
