On NA and NB, the rear jacking point is the diff, and the front is the center of the cross member. Ok, according to the workshop manual, you're supposed to drive the car onto 3/4 inch thick boards (front wheels only) and place the jack at the center of the front crossmember (just behind the engine, first pic) and the center of the rear crossmember (where the suspension comes together, second pic) and place the safety stands under the normal tire-change jack points at the side sills.Harbor freight is having a sale next week on the 3-ton steel heavy duty low profile floor jack for $78 which is really good price and reviews appear to be good. My floor jack has a round "crown" point of contact with the vehicle that would put all the pressure on the bottom of that lip.
