The one on the carb has a one-way valve as well. There a large vent hose on the transmission that goes all the way to the front and I don’t see a nipple where a smaller hose would attach. I’ll check the service manual and see if that helps. It appears from the microfiche that 04 1/2 and 05 sportsman 700 carbs will work on your machine.
