I realized i have Michelin tires on mine, whereas, i believe, most of the tire comments dealt with continentals or other brands. My Michelins drive great and look great. I actually just did an 1100 mile road trip earlier this month with a small U-Haul trailer and found that tow/haul mode keeps the engine running at all times unless you are at a dead stop (ie. traffic light, or, for example, with the parking break on while you unlatch your boat haha) and then it shuts off the engine just like any other mode.
